Prenatal Course

Why choose us?

Make friends for life

Friends who speak the same language and have babies of a similar age can be invaluable in the early days.

In-person courses group English-speaking parents with similar due dates to encourage local friendships and support.

For online participants, we can also suggest local groups and ways to connect with parents nearby.

Top quality teaching in English

Our prenatal courses are taught by bilingual or native English-speaking midwives with expertise in pre and postnatal care.

This ensures the information you receive is up to date, evidence-based, and clearly understood.

Modern approach

We cover all birth choices and baby care options in a practical, non-judgemental way, so you feel informed and confident.

Our services are inclusive and welcoming of all family structures, identities and parenting journeys.

In-Person or Online

Choose between:

  • In-person group sessions in central Madrid

  • Online one-to-one sessions from home

Limited class sizes

In-person classes are kept at a comfortable group size to ensure a supportive environment and active participation.

Online sessions are one-to-one for fully personalised guidance.

Our team is available throughout the course to answer questions and discuss any concerns.

We also offer guidance after birth, including support with sleep, feeding and more.

We offer 2 types of Prenatal course, depending on your needs:

Birth & Baby
In this course we cover everything from how to know you’re in labour and when to go to hospital, to what to expect during birth — including caesareans and common medical interventions — and how to cope throughout labour.

We also explore how to care for yourself mentally and physically after birth, as well as how to care for your new baby.

For our in-person course, we also include a fully organised social event at the end to help you connect with the other participants.

Recommended for first-timers.  Or second/third/fourth etc timers wishing to revise any aspect of feeding, newborn care, or postpartum.

Birth Only
This is a 3 session prenatal course to teach you and your birth partner specific techniques for how to manage labour and birth. With a fully organised social event at the end!

Recommended for first-time parents receiving their education on newborn care, feeding and postpartum in Spain elsewhere. This course is also great for second/third/fourth etc timers who are only interested in understanding how birth is different in Spain and/or preparing for a different type of birth experience than before.

When to do the course?
We recommend starting any time from 24 weeks pregnant and finishing by the time you are 37 weeks (or 34 weeks if expecting twins or multiples).

How to do the course?
Attend in-person group sessions in central Madrid on set dates, or enjoy a private one-to-one online session scheduled flexibly around availability.
