Struggling with any aspect of feeding? Let us come to you!

After birth, it is very common for breastfeeding issues to occur because you and your baby are new at this! It is also possible for doubts to arise after you have been successfully feeding for some time.

And you may also need professional help with weaning baby off the breast, because, for example, you need to return to work or will be otherwise separated from eachother for whatever reason.

For these reasons, we offer home visits in Madrid with a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to help with:

  • Milk supply

  • Sore, painful nipples

  • Latching concerns

  • Weaning advice

  • Engorgement or mastitis

  • Baby's weight gain

  • Breastfeeding and returning to work

  • Advice on breast pumps

  • Any baby (including premature infants) who may need special assistance with feeding

  • Breastfeeding twins and multiples

What Happens During a Typical Visit:

Our lactation consultant will ask questions about your and your baby’s general health and well-being.

These questions may include:

  • How is breastfeeding going?

  • Is your baby satisfied after a feed?

  • Is there any pain during breastfeeding?

  • How often are you feeding?

  • How many wet and dirty nappies is your baby producing in 24 hours?

We will ask you to put your baby onto your breast to see how they feed, and we will assess the latch, as well as your comfort. There will also be time to ask questions and raise any concerns you may need help with.

And we will follow up with you after, to see how you are doing!

The first visit usually lasts around 90 minutes. Subsequent visits may be closer to 60 minutes.
