Postnatal Visits

After birth, the last thing you want is to leave the house for checkups. Our postnatal midwife home visits in Madrid let you rest, recover, and bond with your baby, while a qualified midwife comes to your home to assess both mum and baby and answer all your questions. What Happens During a Visit Mother: - Check perineal stitches or C-section wound, dressings, bleeding, uterine recovery, comfort, and overall wellbeing - Assess feeding (breast, formula, mixed) and provide guidance Baby: - Check feeding, hydration, nappies, jaundice, milk spots, umbilical stump, and general health - Give care advice Partner: - Check wellbeing and provide guidance on supporting mum and caring for baby Duration: 60–90 minutes (first visit usually 90 min, follow-ups shorter) Scheduling First visit: Ideally within several days of returning from the hospital to address newborn care and feeding doubts and check parents’ recovery and wellbeing Best timing: Contact us as soon as your hospital confirms your labour or scheduled birth date Additional visits: Recommended to complete within the first 4 weeks Service Delivery - Visits are in-person in Madrid (within the M40; contact us for outside areas) - Performed by a qualified midwife specialising in postpartum care and newborn feeding - Includes follow-up WhatsApp support for advice and further visit scheduling Fees - Single visit: €189 - Pack of 3 visits: €490 (cost-saving) - May be eligible for private healthcare reimbursement — check with your insurer before booking Please note - the initial booking time and date is orientative - once we receive your booking request, we will get in touch to confirm the date.
