Paediatric First Aid Workshop
Learn the skills to manage a medical emergency in a baby or child with confidence
This class is designed for anyone who would like to learn basic first aid and emergency life-saving knowledge in English. The class is suitable for parents, grandparents, and any other caregivers. To enable them to feel confident about how to act in a serious accident or medical emergency involving a baby or child. We cover techniques for babies 0-12 months and children 1 - 12 years. You will learn: - CPR & recovery positions - Choking - Poisoning - Burns - Febrile seizures - Meningitis - Bumps to the head - Broken bones - Drowning - Wound management: bleeding & bandaging Taught by Healthcare Professionals, trained in Neonatal and Paediatric First Aid techniques. We practice hands-on life-saving techniques with approved mannequins and demo dolls, and monitor all attendees closely to make sure technique is correct! Pricing: €55 PER PERSON or €100 PER 2 PEOPLE BOOKING TOGETHER Can I bring my child? Babies under 12 months old are welcome (free of charge of course!). Can I attend if pregnant? Yes! We can adapt the practical demos for people with bumps and reduced mobility, no problem! Certificates: We can provide a certificate of attendance as requested. However, this class is currently NOT intended for anyone else who requires an accredited certificate (such as childcare professionals). Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking at any time by letting us know by email. We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation by return email within two days of receipt. Cancellations before 7 DAYS of the event start date will receive a full refund minus a 10% administration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 7 days of the event start date. If you wish to reschedule your booking to a later workshop, you must request this change at least 7 days before the workshop you booked is due to start, otherwise your place will be lost. However, if needing to reschedule due to the premature arrival of your baby or babies*, you may do so at any point up UNTIL the workshop begins. * Premature arrival is classed as before 37 weeks gestation for single babies or 34 weeks gestation for multiples
